The Ministry

The Garden of Love and Deliverance Ministry (a.k.a Redemption City) was founded in the year 2008 as a Christian Mission established to propagate the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ towards winning souls and nurturing to inherit eternal life.

This commission was birthed in response to the call of God unto His servant – Sunday Egieleyemeh Balogun into the prophetic ministry of a deliverer in the body of Christ. At about 2:00am, on the 10th of August 1983 the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, “go and do my work…..” and deliver the captives…..and rescue the flocks that are dying in the world…” even while he was serving at The Christ Chosen Church of God.

His calling was made manifest through series of encounter with God in visions, trances and revelations. In one of such encounters he was commanded by God to go out to preach good tidings, bind up the broken-hearted, and liberate the captives, set free those who are bound, execute God’s vengeance, and declare the word of the LORD unto his people as He gives him utterance – after the order of Isiah 61.

With eight (8) members at inception, God has grown His church into over twenty (20) thousand membership strength – and yet still growing in leaps and bounds. Headquartered at Masaka, Nasarawa State of Nigeria, the testimonies continue to abound as God confirms his mandate in mighty works and strange acts in the Garden of Love and Deliverance Ministry.

As a church, the Garden of Love and Deliverance Ministry activities include soul winning outreaches, deliverance services, baptism by water and the Spirit, human capital development, feeding of 5000 outreach, ministry of help to the poor, needy, widows and orphans.

We have a deep passion for education and human capital development across all levels. Our education ministry successfully runs a group of schools covering Nursery, Primary, Junior and Senior Secondary Schools.

Propelled by the success stories recorded, by the special grace of God, and in view of the strategic import of education in building up a total man unto God and our nation, we envision establishing the Garden Gold University to have a full spectrum of educational establishment run according to the dictates of the Lord.

The Garden of Love and Deliverance Ministry is to serve humankind according to the will and purpose of God. Our mission is to reach the world with the salvation of our Lord Jesus Christ, save the lost, and build-up a holy people whose ultimate goal is eternal living with the LORD Our God.
